Overview
The Google Analytics 4 integration brings website activity into SEINō and relates it to the campaigns from your email platform. When a send’s UTM parameters match, its sessions, transactions and revenue show up next to its opens and clicks.
What SEINō receives
Website results per campaign
GA4 adds sessions, engaged sessions, transactions and revenue to the sends in your Campaigns dataset, matched on UTM parameters. This needs an email platform connected to the same workspace.
Your website as a whole
The Google Analytics dataset lets you explore website activity on its own, apart from any one send. The Channel Share dataset compares the email channel with your whole website.
Products
With e-commerce data in your GA4 property, the E-commerce dataset shows product-level performance associated with your campaigns.
Key events
On request, SEINō adds selected GA4 key events as metrics, so specific actions on your website sit next to campaign performance.
Connect Google Analytics 4
A workspace administrator enables Google Analytics in the workspace settings and connects a property in one of two ways:
- Sign in with Google, with an account that can grant access to the property, and add it from the list.
- Ask a GA4 administrator to add your workspace’s service account as a Viewer on the property, then add it in SEINō.
Refresh
SEINō syncs GA4 several times a day. A newly connected property needs its initial import first.
Good to know
- Matching to campaigns relies on UTM tags that identify each message, set up in your email platform.
- If access to a property is removed, SEINō says so, and you can reconnect once Viewer access is back.
